where did my baby go?

Lucy is 11 months old..... WHAT?? she'll be a year next month? WHAT?? Time fly's when you're having fun right? I guess it's time to have another one? hmmm we'll have to think about this one. Back to lucy.. she is becoming quite the character! I wish everyone could see what a day in the life of watching Lucy is all about. I guess that's what I get for marrying Blake. I should have known that a Stef and Blake combo would be out of control .....my poor poor offspring. Here is a list of Lucy CAN DO's

Lucy can Sing.. sometimes too loud and at all the wrong times
Lucy can Dance.... definitely to the beat of her own drum, but it's dancing just the same
Lucy can crawl..... much tooo fast .. she's just GO GO GO! who wants to nap?? not Lucy
Lucy can wiggle.....she does this weird back and forth wiggle thing when she's happy. I love it.
Lucy can click her tongue
Lucy can drink juice from her juice box
Lucy can eat..... she loves anything you stick in front of her ... she'll try and take it out of my mouth sometimes
Lucy can say "baba" in a high pitched girly voice over and over and over again.......
Lucy can hug her baby
Lucy can wave Bye Bye , she thinks she's the Queen
Lucy can do much much more!... and learning something new everyday.

I just love her. She's Beautiful!

Tooth!!

Lucy has her first tooth! I couldn't be more proud!! Tuesday night she woke up, and usually I can put her back to sleep pretty quickly after I feed her... but not this time!! I felt so bad for her. She just screamed and screamed for an hour and a half until either the tylenol clicked in or she was just so exhausted?? who knows.. all I know is that when she woke up in the morning she had a little tooth! My baby is growing up!!!

also... on a much more not so good note.. I think she's allergic to milk..... BOOO! whenever I give her yogurt she gets little hives around her mouth.... I also shared my dilly bar with her last week, and wherever the ice cream touched her face she got hives.... WHAT DO I DOOO???? I was panning on fading out the ol breast milk in a couple of weeks with Homo..... oh well... I still love her guts!

Easter dress

For Easter this year I decided that I wanted to attempt an Easter dress of some sort for Lucy. I always tell myself that I'll sew things.... but I never do... cause really I don't really think of myself as a sewer or seamstress of any kind, because really all I know how to do is a hem or straight lines..... which is why this dress was perfect!!! I went online and found a simple dress pattern called a pillow case dress (lots of room for creative anything) it is the EASIEST dress pattern ever. I didn't even need to ask for help once. I'm VERY proud of myself. Mostly I'm just happy that I finished it, and that it fit...but not for long, it's on the smallish side.. but it served it's purpose. EASTER!!!

Lucy loving herself in the mirror..... can you blame her??
(p.s. she is awesome at sitting on her own... sooo grown up)

The BRONZE MEDAL!

Hanging out in the cold!
WOND THE GOLD!!!
Mystique beach in victoria

wild peacock? just hanging out.....

I don't know how to put pictures in between what I'm writing after i've already written everything... for some reason they always want to go to the top of the page... and I am not smart enough to figure out how to move them... so here are a few pics of our trip!

We got back from our trip of the century on monday!!!! we were gone for 2 weeks, and it seems that no matter how fun and exciting your trip is, it's always nice to come home and sleep in your OWN BED! ...... well.... if your beds anything like mine is.....

First we started in Fairmont with the Hyde side of the fambo.....

Day 1 - arrive and watch Olympic opening ceremonies
Day 2 - some people went snowboarding .. but the breast feeding mother of a baby who does not eat from a bottle, went "shopping" in town with the grandma Hyde, and Kenzie..... then we watched olympics....and to end the night off with a little hot spring action! Lucy's first swimming experience!! FUN!!

Day 3 - went to church, watched olympics
Day 4 - went swimming, Watched Olympics
Day 5 - left at 6 am to start our loooong drive to Abbottsford where we had dinner with Blakes cousins the Kennesy's and then off to the fairy to take us to our next Destination... VICTORIA!!!

Victoria is beautiful, but there is something about being on an island that I don't like. I could never live there.... but it sure is nice to visit! especially to see my Ali! We stayed at Ali and Dave Wights house where we did the fun tourist things like ...
Day 6 - go to the warf. and go shopping by the sea, and eat at a ridiculously expensive restaurant that overlooks the ocean... watch olympics
Day 7 - went shopping with ali, and later found a park with wild peacocks ?? ... watch olympics
Day 8 - hike through a jungle to get to a beach and have a picnic!! (my favorite day in Victoria)... watch olympics
Day 9 - pure boredom.... Blake had to work on his school, so Rebecca Smith picked me up and took me to this "mountain" which was really a big hill, that over looked Victoria.. then we watched some more olympics...
Day 10 - go to church - come home early because for some reason lucy is puking in the water fountain and all over the carpet....... so we watched some olympics
Day 11 - our final day of Victoria.... loaded up onto the fairy to start some more fun!!! off to the
Kenessey's again..... blake worked on his school... i watched olympics
Day 12 - I watched Olympics.... blake worked on school
Day 13 - Krista and her 2 boys took us to White rock! we had a nice walk down the beach and then went for some good ol Fish and Chips at the most beautiful cute restaurant I have ever been too... and then off to Vancouver for real Olympics fun!!!!
Day 14 - walk around and enjoy the pure olympics chaos... and eat for free at the athlete lounge for families :) we got the hook up... people just loved to give things away for free... so blake packed our diaper bag full of chocolate bars and candy ;) ... we love free things and arn't ashamed.
Day 15 - 4 man BOBSLEIGH!! my brother's team placed 2 in the first 2 heats..... we were VERRY excited
Day 16 - BAHHHHH David's in 2 still after the 3rd!!! if only they can hold on to their spot for their final heat!!!! ......... missed the silver and 1 1ooths of a second.... dang!!! but still got a medal! it was awesome! we were soooo proud! and still are!
Day 17 - drove into Vancouver 1 more time to see david and to touch the Bronze medal with our own hands....
Day 18....... Finally..... drive 12 hours and sleep in my bed..... and Lucy did sooo great :) we are sooo proud!!!

This is Comic book Lucy

Cereal and Waffles

We tried to see if Lucy would eat some rice cereal...... 1 hour later she was barfing up a storm.... could it be related? we don't know. She was barely moving... almost like a dead fish? her skin was yellow and she kept puking up green foam, you could say I was a little worried. She seemed sick for a couple hours... and then slept. In the morning she was perfectly fine. Other then her rice cereal scare, she seems to have really enjoyed sucking on oranges... but could not tolerate the applesauce. The adventure begins!!!! I've very excited to introduce foods to her. I know I shouldn't be in a huge rush for her to grow up, but she seriously needs to grow. We have had a tough go at the whole feeding her thing since birth and so I'm ready to give her MORE!!!

Also blake made a request for waffles at 3 in the morning for breakfast. I thought he was talking in his sleep again. He actually woke up in the morning and made waffles. Not just ordinary waffles, but waffles AND fruit topping?? what a man! I'm sooo lucky.
